πŸŒΏWhy We Want Money… But Aren’t Always Ready to Receive It

This blog explores the hidden reasons we subconsciously block money, even when we consciously want more. You’ll learn how early conditioning, nervous system patterns, and subconscious beliefs shape your financial reality — and how to start shifting into abundance.
Woman journaling about money beliefs and mindset
Introduction

It’s one of the biggest mysteries in personal finance and manifestation:
You say you want more money. You pray for it, work for it, visualize it…
So why isn’t it showing up?

The truth is both simple and profound:

You may consciously want money, but subconsciously not be prepared to receive it.

πŸ’¬I spent years wanting more money, yet somehow always sabotaging my progress — until I realized my subconscious was terrified of abundance.

This doesn’t make you flawed.
It makes you human.

In this blog, we’ll explore why so many of us desire abundance yet still energetically reject it — and how hidden belief systems shape our entire financial reality.

πŸ‘‰ If you missed my previous blog on money & spirituality, you can read it here — it sets the foundation for this one beautifully

Conscious vs subconscious money beliefs

πŸ’¬This topic is deeply personal for me. For a long time, I couldn’t understand why money felt so unpredictable in my life — until I discovered how my own nervous system reacted to abundance.

1. Money is energy, not math

On the surface, money looks logical:
work → earn → save → spend.

But on a deeper level, money responds to energy, emotion, and identity.

Why money doesn’t feel safe to the subconscious

If your subconscious associates money with:

  • fear

  • conflict

  • loss

  • guilt

  • stress

  • abandonment

  • responsibility you don’t feel ready for

…then money doesn’t feel safe.

🌟Money flows where your nervous system feels safe.

And what doesn’t feel safe is naturally pushed away — even if you’re trying to pull it in.

Money responds to energy, emotion, identity — and even your environment.
Surrounding yourself with things that make you feel abundant helps rewire the subconscious.

✨ If you love uplifting books, journals, candles, or home items that elevate your energy, you can find amazing deals using my Rakuten link

It’s a beautiful way to shift your money vibration while also saving money.

πŸ’› If you’re nurturing your relationship with money, my Rakuten blog offers gentle ways to bring in more abundance through conscious shopping, savings, and rewards

2. Early money conditioning shapes adult financial alignment

Family shaping early money conditioning with child

As children, we absorb money beliefs without question.

Maybe you heard:

  • “Money doesn’t grow on trees.”

  • “We can’t afford that.”

  • “Rich people are greedy.”

  • “Life is hard.”

  • “Money causes problems.”

  • “Wanting more is ungrateful.”

These messages become internalized rules.

Now, as an adult, your conscious mind says:
πŸ‘‰ “I want financial freedom.”

But your subconscious whispers:
πŸ‘‰ “More money will cause trouble.”

This creates an energetic tug-of-war inside your body.

3. The nervous system resists what feels unfamiliar

Even abundance can feel unsafe when your baseline has always been:

  • survival mode

  • scarcity

  • just getting by

  • watching others stress about money

Your nervous system prefers:
familiar discomfort → over unfamiliar abundance.

Signs your nervous system rejects money

This is why someone might:

  • lose money right after gaining it

  • overspend when things start going well

  • avoid opportunities

  • undercharge

  • not apply for better jobs

  • freeze during growth                                                                                                                       πŸŒΏYou don’t fear lack — you fear abundance that feels unfamiliar.

Your nervous system isn’t sabotaging you —
it’s protecting you from what feels unfamiliar.

4. You might want money… but not what comes with it

Choices and decision-making affecting abundance mindset

Examples of hidden money fears

Many people secretly fear:

  • responsibility

  • expectations

  • visibility

  • judgement

  • change

  • attention

  • outgrowing loved ones

  • losing relationships

So they unknowingly block opportunities that would elevate them.

You think you fear lack.
But sometimes you fear abundance more.

Surround yourself with abundance triggers — journals, candles, affirmations, planners — all of which you can find with cash-back deals using my Rakuten link

Conclusion

If you’ve ever wondered,
“Why isn’t money flowing to me even when I’m doing everything right?”
the answer might be inside you, not outside you.

Healing Money Beliefs: How to Reclaim Abundance Through Spiritual Awareness

πŸ’” Why We Need to Heal Our Money Beliefs

Most of our financial struggles aren’t really about dollars — they’re about wounds.

Maybe you were told “money changes people.”
Maybe you watched loved ones fight about bills or go silent when you asked for something.

These early experiences created energetic imprints that whispered:

“It’s safer to stay small.”
“You can’t have both God and wealth.”

But healing your money story isn’t about chasing wealth — it’s about reclaiming peace where fear once lived.
It’s about remembering that money was never the problem — our beliefs about it were.

If you haven’t read my previous post on how we were conditioned to see poverty as holy, click here to read it next — it’ll help you see where many of these money wounds began.

πŸ“– My Awakening Through A Course in Miracles

From the moment I first opened A Course in Miracles and began listening to the Truth within myself, something shifted.

I started seeing how much of what I believed about money — its meaning, its purpose, its “danger” — was never mine.
It was inherited conditioning, woven from misunderstanding, guilt, and fear.

That book opened my eyes to a deeper realization:
πŸ’¬ We were never meant to fear money. We were meant to master it — consciously.

Money, like love, is energy. It responds to the vibration of our thoughts.
When we heal the fear, the flow returns.

🌸 Healing Begins with Awareness

Every time you feel guilt, anxiety, or avoidance around money, it’s a wound asking for your attention.
Ask yourself gently:

“Where did I first learn that wanting more was wrong?”

Awareness is compassion. When you bring light instead of judgment to the places where scarcity lives, healing begins.
Money is neutral — it’s our consciousness that gives it meaning.

πŸ”₯ Forgive the Past, Bless the Pattern

Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was okay — it means you’re ready to stop letting it define your worth.

Forgive the family patterns of fear.
Forgive the culture that glorified struggle.
Forgive yourself for believing lack was holy.

Every healed thought frees your future.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

πŸŒ• Rewire Your Inner Narrative

Speak new truths daily — with emotion and faith:
πŸ’¬ “I am safe to receive.”
πŸ’¬ “Abundance flows through me, not from me.”
πŸ’¬ “Wealth is how I serve with purpose.”

The nervous system must learn that money doesn’t mean danger — it means capacity.
Capacity to give, to create, to bless.

πŸ’Ž The Divine Alignment

When your heart and money are aligned, you stop chasing and start attracting.
You realize God never asked you to suffer to prove devotion — He asked you to trust provision.

Healing your money beliefs is remembering that you were never separate from Source — only taught to forget.

✨ A Simple Healing Practice

πŸ•Š️ Morning Reflection:
Before you start your day, place your hand over your heart and say:

“I release all fear around receiving.
I trust in Divine provision.
I allow abundance to circulate freely through my life.”

Repeat it until your body believes it.
This is how faith becomes frequency.

🌈 Final Reflection

Your healing isn’t about becoming wealthy — it’s about becoming whole.
Because when your inner world feels abundant, the outer world naturally reflects it.

πŸ’ What would change in your life if you finally believed that wealth and worthiness could coexist?

In my next post, I’ll share a 3-step framework to reprogram scarcity and embody divine wealth — so you no longer wish for abundance, you walk in it.

πŸ’« The Hidden Truth: Why We Were Conditioned to See Poverty As Holy

🌿 Why We Carry False Beliefs About Money and God

Most of us never chose our beliefs about money — we inherited them.
From sermons, culture, or family stories, we absorbed the idea that poverty equals purity and wealth equals worldliness.

If you haven’t read my earlier post on why money and God are not separate, click here to read it now.

We were told “the meek shall inherit the earth,” but not that meekness means power under control, not powerlessness. We were told “you can’t serve God and money,” but not that money was never the master — it was meant to be the servant.

The truth is: generations have been conditioned to associate holiness with struggle.
It’s time to question where that came from — and who benefits when we believe it.

✝️ Jesus — The Misunderstood Example of Prosperity

People often imagine Jesus as poor because He lived a simple life and wore a single robe. But history tells a deeper story.

In those days, a seamless tunic — like the one Jesus wore — was extremely costly. Roman soldiers even cast lots for it (John 19:23–24) because it was too valuable to divide. That wasn’t a symbol of poverty — it was a sign of excellence and honor.

Jesus and money – spiritual abundance and divine prosperity – Conscious Wealth Path blog by Sudha Kaushal
πŸ’Ž Jesus wasn’t poor — He simply never needed to prove He was rich.

Jesus also had a treasurer — Judas — who managed funds for the ministry (John 12:6). You don’t need a treasurer if you’re broke.

He multiplied food for thousands, turned water into wine at a wedding, and brought abundance wherever He went.

Jesus wasn’t against wealth — He was against greed and attachment.
He lived from a place of infinite supply, not scarcity. He knew that when you’re connected to Source, lack can’t exist.

🌸 Other Examples of Divine Prosperity

  • King Solomon: One of the wealthiest men in history, whose riches were granted directly by God — not as a curse, but as a reward for wisdom.

  • Abraham: Blessed “in all things” (Genesis 24:1) — spiritually and materially. His wealth didn’t separate him from God; it confirmed his covenant.

  • Joseph: Rose from slavery to rulership over Egypt, using divine wisdom to manage national abundance.

  • The Proverbs 31 Woman: A spiritual, business-minded woman who traded, managed property, and clothed her family in fine linen — and was praised for it.

These figures weren’t worshiping money — they were stewards of it. They used their blessings for purpose, not ego.

πŸ” The Conditioning Runs Deep

Over centuries, religious institutions often glorified poverty to control the masses. If people believed wealth was sinful, they’d never question authority or create independence.
It was easier to rule people who believed God wanted them to stay small.

But the sacred texts never glorify lack — they glorify trust, stewardship, and generosity.
Somewhere along the way, humanity confused simplicity with scarcity.

πŸ’ Final Reflection

What if you’re not afraid of money — you’re afraid of what people will think if you have it?

In my next post, I’ll share how to heal money beliefs and reclaim your divine abundance.

πŸ’Ž Why Money and God Are Not Separate: Demystifying the Faith–Finance Divide

🌿 Why People Believe God and Money Are Separate

Many were raised to believe that spiritual devotion and financial success can’t coexist — that choosing God means rejecting wealth. This belief is deeply rooted in centuries of cultural conditioning:

  • Misinterpreted scripture made money seem sinful.

  • Poverty was equated with purity.

  • Success was viewed as prideful or worldly.

But money is not the enemy. Money is energy — a divine resource created to help you fulfill purpose, support others, and expand love in tangible ways.

God never asked you to struggle. He asked you to steward the blessings you’ve been given.

✨ The Spiritual Purpose of Money

Money doesn’t change who you are — it magnifies it.

  • If you are kind, it lets you serve at a greater scale.

  • If you are wise, it gives you tools to bless others.

  • If you are mission-driven, it becomes your ministry.

For too long, we’ve been told that loving God and loving money can’t coexist — but what if that belief was never true?

Money, when aligned with love, becomes sacred.
It’s not separate from God — it’s one of His languages.

When you understand this, you stop chasing money with fear and start attracting it with faith.

πŸ’Ž Money isn’t separate from God — it’s one of His languages
πŸ” How to Demystify the Divide Between Faith and Finance

  1. Heal Your Money Story
Reflect on the beliefs you inherited. Were you told “money is evil” or “rich people are greedy”? Rewrite that story with truth: money is neutral — the heart determines how it’s used.

  2. Redefine Wealth as Service
Money is a spiritual multiplier. Every dollar you earn can create ripples of impact, comfort, and contribution.

  3. Integrate Prayer with Prosperity
Prayer is not begging for blessings — it’s aligning your vibration with divine abundance already available to you.

  4. Be the Channel
Remember: you’re not accumulating wealth, you’re circulating it. You are God’s vessel for prosperity on Earth.

πŸ’« The Conscious Wealth Truth

Money and God were never divided — our fear created the illusion.
When you align your spiritual purpose with financial stewardship, you embody true abundance.

Prosperity isn’t a contradiction to faith. It’s a confirmation of faith — a sign that you trust God’s unlimited supply.

Let your success be your prayer in action. Let your wealth be your worship.

Daily Spiritual Practices for Consistent Happiness (Inspired by A Course in Miracles)

In my last blog, I shared my awakening story — the turning point when I realized happiness didn’t have to be fleeting. But awakening isn’t a one-time event; it’s a daily choice. The question people often ask me is: “How do you stay consistent with happiness every day?”

The truth is, happiness isn’t about chasing perfection — it’s about returning to peace, again and again. And for me, my daily practices are what keep me anchored.

πŸ“– My Anchor: A Course in Miracles

Every morning, I turn to A Course in Miracles (ACIM), a practical self-study course in spiritual transformation. It includes a Text, Workbook with 365 daily lessons, and a Manual for Teachers.

  • The popular blue book (by the Foundation for Inner Peace) was my starting point.

  • Recently, I’ve also been exploring the purple edition by Robert Perry, which restores material omitted in the original.

I’ve been a long-time student and teacher of ACIM, and I love the practicality of applying its wisdom exactly when I need it most. It has carried me through doubts, questions, and even moments of deep struggle.

  • πŸŽ₯ Sharing the Journey

I also created a YouTube channel dedicated to ACIM, where I share reflections and insights from my own study. Teaching helps me live the lessons more fully — every time I share, I’m reminded of the Truth again.

πŸ’« A Daily Reminder of Truth

Like anyone, I have my ups and downs. But ACIM reminds me: perfection isn’t something we achieve in this world. God already created us perfect.

    My favorite lesson?
Lesson 94: “I am as God created me.”
This one-line shifts everything. It frees me from striving and brings me back to peace.
This Transformational 3-Minute Manifestation Journal is designed to help you pause, reset, and return to peace in just a few minutes. Inside, you’ll find space to repeat Lesson 94: “I am as God created me” and write down three things you’re grateful for each day.
πŸ‘‰ Grab Your Copy on Amazon here and use it as a gentle companion to your ACIM journey.
If you’re ready to bring more peace and gratitude into your day, this little journal can be your daily anchor.

      πŸ™ Gratitude as a Practice

Along with study, I practice gratitude daily — for ACIM teachers who’ve lit the way, for the lessons still unfolding, and for how life reveals itself when I choose peace. Gratitude opens my heart and keeps me aligned.

      🌿 Peace Is the Goal

At the end of the day, all of this comes down to one intention: peace. Not perfection, not achievement — but peace. My practice is simply returning to it, again and again.

🌿 My Awakening Story: From Struggle to Consistent Happiness

Sunrise symbolizing spiritual awakening and consistent happiness journey
A sunrise reminds us that every ending brings a new beginning — just as my awakening did

      Growing Up with Questions

I was born in Mumbai, India, where temples filled every street and lane. Growing up in a Hindu household, spirituality was always present. But I was a rebel child — questioning rituals, asking why, and searching for meaning beyond tradition.

      Life’s Breaking Point

Years later, life brought challenges I couldn’t ignore. My 15-year marriage ended, and I became a single mom raising two boys. A later relationship collapsed, and in 2014 I lost my father.

Behind smiles, I battled depression — sometimes laughing with clients, other times crying in secret. By the end of that year, I whispered to myself: “There must be a way.”

At the time, I was a Realtor with a decent income, but I longed for more — more peace, more abundance, more purpose.

      Discovering A Course in Miracles

One day, I stumbled across a YouTube video. The speaker quoted A Course in Miracles, and though I didn’t understand it fully, something stirred in me. Months later, during heartbreak, I reached for one of her books. The Course spoke about “special relationships,” and I found small comfort.

That opened a door to metaphysics, and I searched everywhere for answers. Yet, peace was temporary, and the questions in my soul remained.

      The Turning Point

On September 7, 2015, while stuck in traffic on the way to a client, I remembered a 40-day video program I had signed up for and forgotten. Curious, I pressed play.

The speaker said something about being consistently happy. My heart leapt. I declared: “That’s what I want — to be consistently happy. Not hiding in bathrooms to cry, not pretending to be strong while breaking inside, but truly, consistently happy.”

That moment was my spiritual awakening.

      Walking in Faith

Those 40 days opened a path I could not have imagined. Questions I had carried for years began to find answers: Who am I? Who is God? Why am I here?

Some call it a kundalini awakening. I call it grace.

Even when I didn’t know where my next dollar would come from, I invested in myself and a $1,000 program. For the first time, I chose to trust God fully. That leap of faith became the foundation for everything that followed.

      Ten Years Later

It has been almost a decade since that turning point. I no longer chase fleeting happiness. I’ve learned that suffering is not required, and happiness isn’t something to seek — it’s who we already are.

My spiritual awakening story was not just about spirituality, but about alignment, personal growth and faith. It shaped how I see life, wealth, purpose, and faith.

And now, I share this story so that others know — even in their darkest valleys, light is waiting to break through. This is only part of my faith journey. In my next blog, I’ll share how alignment shaped my sense of purpose.

In my first blog post, Welcome to My World, I shared why I began writing — you can read it here.
